What are the domain restrictions of ?
Alchen [17]
The denominator :  q² - 3q - 4 should be ≠ 0.
Let's find the zero values of this quadratic equation:

q' = [-b+√(b²-4.a.c)]/2.a    and   q'' = [-b-√(b<span>²-4.a.c)]/2.a

you will fond q' = 4  and q'' = -1

Then the restrictions are :

q </span>≠ 4 and q ≠ - 1 (1st answer)

Can anyone solve these for me?
alex41 [277]
\theta = 38^o&#10;\\\ tan(38^o) = \frac{x}{3}, x = 3tan(38^o), x\approx2.344&#10;\\\ sin(38^o) = \frac{2.344}{y}, y = \frac{2.344}{sin(38^o)}, y \approx 3.807Geometry Rule: SOH CAH TOA.
Sine = opposite over hypotenuse
Cosine = adjacent over hypotenuse
Tangent = opposite over hypotenuse
I won't solve all of these for you because I find that solving it on your own is an important step in learning to actually understand how this works.

What is the correct answer for this problem?Explain
bearhunter [10]
To solve this you would make a triangle, Assuming you had a piece of paper.

It would look like the picture included (where ever that is) sorry for the horrible drawing with mouse.

You can then you Pythagorean Theorem to solve this

a^{2} + b^2 =c^2

width will be (a)

put in your variables

a^2 + 72^2 = 90^2
a^2 + 5184 = 8100

Subtract 5184 over and get
a^2 = 2916

square root both sides and get
a=54

the field is 54 meters wide

SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

y = -1/2x +5

Step-by-step explanation:

The perpendicular slope will be the negative reciprocal of the original slope

the reciprocal of 2 is 1/2, and the negative of that is -1/2
