• Answer:

86.20 ft²

 • Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there !

A = A₁ + A₂

A₁ =semicircle

A₁ = πr²/2

r = d/2 = 6.4ft/2 = 3.2 ft

A₁ = 3.14×(3.2ft)²/2 ≈ 32.15 ft²

A₂ = trapezium

A₂ = (b + B)×h/2

A₂ = (5.1ft + 6.4ft)×9.4ft/2 = 54.05 ft²

A = 32.15 ft² + 54.05 ft² = 86.20 ft²

Good luck !

How do you find out GCF (Greatest Common Factor) and LCM (Least Common Multiple)?
Mamont248 [21]
To find the GCF, first you must factor the 2 or more numbers. The GCF is the highest factor the numbers have in common. for example: you have 12 and 8. If you factor out the numbers for 12, you get
1,2,3,4,6,12
For 8, you get:
1,2,4,8
the GCF of this pair is 4 because it is the highest number that goes into both 8 and 12.
To find the LCM, you must find the first number that was multiplied and it must be the same. lets take 3 and 5. Multiply 3 by as many numbers you can think of. For now, lets just go up to 10.
3, 6, 9, 12 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
now to the same for 5:
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50
in both 3 and 5, the first set of numbers that match in 30- therefore the LCM of 3 and 5 in 30. I hope this helps!

The area of a certain rectangle is 288 yd2. The perimeter is 68 yd. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?
arsen [322]

Answer:

The rectangle is 16*18

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle is length * width and the perimeter is 2 times length * width

A = l*w

P = 2(l+w)

Replacing A and P

288 = l*w

68 = 2(l+w) => 34 = l+w => 34 - w = l

replacing l in the area

288 = (34 - w) w

w^2 - 34w + 288 = 0

(w - 16)(w - 18)

w = 16

w = 18

replacing in 34 - w = l

you get that when w = 16, l = 18 and when w = 18, l = 16
