A quintic polynomial has, at most, how many turning points? 3 4 5 6

Mathematics
1 answer:
nikitadnepr [17]4 years ago
5 0

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

The derivative of a 5th-degree polynomial is a 4th-degree polynomial, so will have at most 4 real zeros. The zeros of the derivative correspond to the turning points of the function.

Expand.<br> Your answer should be a polynomial in standard form.<br> (9+ m)(-m +9)=
valina [46]

Answer: -1m²+81

Step-by-step explanation:

correct standard form means that the terms are ordered from biggest exponent to lowest exponent. The leading coefficient is the coefficient

of the first term in a polynomial in standard form.

FoR example, (9+ m) (-m+9) = *(m+9) (-m+9) *m(-m+9) +9 (-m+9)* -1.mm+9m +9(-m+9) * -1m² +9m +9(-m+9) *-1m²+9m- 9m +81

answer -1m²+81

Please tell me the outlier of each set of numbers (3 sets only)!
yulyashka [42]

Hey there!

An outlier in a data set is a number that is WAY larger or WAY smaller than the others in the data set, or does not really fit in the specified "range". In the first one, 452 is way greater than everything else, so it would be the outlier.

In the second data set, 5 would be our outlier because it is much smaller than all the other numbers.

In the last data set, the numbers are pretty close together, but we need to find one that isn't inside the small range. 0.201 appears to be the outlier in this case.

Therefore, here are your answers :)

15: 452

16: 5

17: 0.201

I hope this helps!

ohaa [14]

Where is the table? You could potentiallysolve this by deconstructing the function.
