The bigger threat to the Everglades is the draining the swamp because it is an unnatural situation that brought change to the habitat. Everglades is a subtropical wetland known as "River of grass" and occupy around 11,999 square.

The draining was suggested arround the late 19th century, The digging of canal and the dam system caused the removal and redirection of water from the sugar farm and become a threat to the health of system, and after that the drained land was set for development and agriculture. Though some advocate later save the Everglades through the ecological indicator late 20th century.

However, Burmese python is another threat that was reducing the number of animals both big and small in the ecosystem but the threat cannot be compared to the unnatural process of drainage the Everglades experienced.
