How to solve the equation and what is the answer to the question

Mathematics
1 answer:
Molodets [167]3 years ago
8 0

Answer:

7.73cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation for area of a circle is a= pie r^2. Now plug in pie as 3.14 and you radius which would be 3 because the image is showing the diameter as 6 and radius is half the diameter. The equation is now a=3.14 x3x3. The area of the circle would be 28.27cm^2.

Now we must find the area of the square. To do this multiple the diameter which is 6 times itself. 6x6=36. The area of the square is 36cm^2.

Now subtract the square area from the circle area. 36 - 28.27 = 7.73. The left over plywood would be 7.73cm^2.

I hope this helps! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask! :D

Write down an (in)equality which describes the solid ball of radius 3 centered at (7,1,−1). It should have a form like x2+y2+(z−
masya89 [10]

Answer:

(x-7)^2+(y-1)^2+(z+1)^2-9\le 0

Step-by-step explanation:

A ball is the solid inside a surface which is a sphere.

The equation of a sphere has the form:

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2+(z-s)^2= r^2

Where (h,k,s) is the center and r is the radius.

When we plug the given center (7,1,-1) and radius 3 we get:

(x-7)^2+(y-1)^2+(z+1)^2= 3^2

Then we turn this into an inequality: Since the ball is inside the surface we must use the \le symbol.

(x-7)^2+(y-1)^2+(z+1)^2\le 9

Then we just subtract 9 from both sides to get:

(x-7)^2+(y-1)^2+(z+1)^2-9\le 0

Which correlation is most likely a causation?
melisa1 [442]
It is usually noted that correlation does not imply causation, but there are some correlations which are causation as well.

A correlation is when there is a relationship between two variables while causation is when the outcome of one variable affects the outcome of the other variable.

From the first option, though there may be a positive relationship between sales of jeans and sales of slacks, but the purchase of jeans does not mean that you have to purchase a slack, thus, there is no causation.

For the second option, though there may be positive relationship between the number of aisles and the number of products in a supermarket, but a supermarket can have many aisles with few products, i.e. many aisles does not automatically imply many products, thus, there is no causation.

For the third option, though there may be a positive relationship between the number of swimmers and the number of sunbathers at a beach, but all swimmers in a beach are not sunbathers and all sunbathers are not swimmers. Thus, a swimmer does not imply a sunbather and a sunbather does not imply a swimmer. Thus, there is no causation.

For the last option, it is generally known that the more you practice an activity, the better you get in that activity. Thus, there exist a relationship between the number of hours spent practicing archery and the number of bull's-eyes an archer can hit and there also exist causation because the number of bull's-eye an archer can hit is directly dependent on the number of hours the archer spent practicing.

Therefore, the correlation that is most likely a causation is the positive correlation between the number of hours spent practicing archery and the number of bull's-eyes the archer can hit.

Please answer!it is grade 6 math
vova2212 [387]
Answer:

AB+BE+EF+GF+HG+AH = 14 #EQU 1
BC+CD+DE+EF+GF+BG = 22 #EQU 2
AB+BC+CD+DE+EF+GF+HG+AH = 24 #EQU 3
IMPLEMENTING EQU 2 IN EQU 3
AB+22-EF+ HG+AH = 24 # EQU 5
FROM EQU 1
AB+HG+AH = 14-(BE+EF+GF) #EQU 4
IMPLEMENTING EQU 4 IN EQU 5
22+14 - (BE+EF+GF+EF) = 24
36 - 24 = BE+EF+GF+BG(EF=BG)

What is the x-intercept of the line described by the equation?
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

(0,-6)

Step-by-step explanation:

recall that the y-intercept is simply the point where the line crosses the y-axis at x = 0.

to find the y intercept, we simply substitute x=0 into the equation and solve for y

12x - 10y = 60, when x = 0,

12(0) - 10y = 60

-10y = 60

y = 60 / (-10)

y = -6

hence the coordinate of the y - intercept is (0,-6)
