Rate of photosynthesis = rate of respiration is the compensation point. At this point there is <em><u>no net growth.</u></em>

Explanation:

The rate of photosynthesis is the rate of which the plant uses sun light energy to produce ATP molecules and eventually glucose/starch which is stored in the plant cell vacules. If the plant uses up that energy there will be nothing to store, and thus the plant will most likely slow down the rate of which it stores energy. The plant itself will not begin having any deficiencies but instead have a net energy gain of 0, which will most likely not effect the plant in any way
