Vega, the brightest star in the constellation lyra, has a parallax angle of approximately 0.13 arcseconds. approximately how far
Ivahew [28]

Vega, the brightest star in the constellation lyra, has a parallax angle of approximately 0.13 arcseconds,  approximately  Vega will be 25.076 Light year or 7.692 Parsec away from the sun

The parallax angle is the angle between the Earth at one time of year, and the Earth six months later, as measured from a nearby star.

Mathematically it can be understood as that the parallax angle is the angle which is taken from a point at one time on the earth and again after six months later from the same point on the earth. The parallax angle is the semi-angle of inclination between the two lines to sight.

Stellar parallax is the basis for the parsec, which is the distance from the Sun to an astronomical object that has a parallax angle of one arcsecond.

Distance (in parsec) = 1 / (parallax angle ( arcsec))

given

parallax angle = 0.13 arcseconds

Distance (in parsec) = 1/ 0.13 = 7.692 Parsec

if 1 Parsec = 3.26 Light year

So, 7.692 Parsec will be equal to =  3.26 * 7.692 = 25.076 Light year

                                                        ≈ 25.076 Light year

In which senario is gravitational potential energy present?
sukhopar [10]

The answer is B

Now I'm not sure if you're taking high school physics or middle school physics. But you have to know that gravitational potential energy has to be given with respect to something else, relative to something else.

For example if im sitting on a chair, relative to the chair my potential energy is 0, however with respect to earths core I have a huuuuuge potential energy.

So in these answers, they all have gravitational potential energy, but the answer the question is looking for is B

What is the Calvin cycle and why is it essential for the transfer of energy during photosynthesis
timurjin [86]
Calvin Cycle is the part of the process of photosynthesis, by which Plant makes Food (Glucose), it is independent of the light. It is essential as it is the primary source of energy on the earth

Hope this helps!

Find the force needed to lift a 3000 N weight using a machine with a mechanical advantage of 15.
Soloha48 [4]

IF the machine is 100% efficient, then you only need to push at the input with a force of 200 Newtons. BUT ... you have to keep pushing the 200N 15 times as far as you want to lift the big weight.
