I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option C. Regarding nature as superior to the individual is a trait of American romanticism. Other traits are youthful, innocent, and intuitive. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.

The correct answer is B. exploring the imagination and emotions of the individual.

C also can be correct, but if you need to choose just one answer, then I'd rather go with B. Romanticism in general is all about emotions, and the imagination that both the authors and the characters portray in their lives. A is all about Modernism, rather than Romanticism. D and E are all about Enlightenment and Classicism, rather than Romanticism.

What makes Antigone a rebel?
Bond [772]

Answer:

Her decision to go bury her brother, with or without Ismene

Explanation:

In Sophocles' "Antigone," the protagonist is a strong and determined woman who opposes the King and disregards his order not to give burial to her brother Polyneices. In that respect, she decides to follow the orders of the Gods rather than Creon's, since she considers the Gods' laws more important than the King's. Thus, she buries her brother whatever it takes and no matter what, which finally costs her life.
