We can use the points (-1, -4) and (3, 2) to solve.

Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

= 2-(-4)/3-(-1)

= 6/4

= 3/2

Answer:

6/4

Step-by-step explanation:

so i dont remember what the formula is called but it looks like this:

y2-y1/x2-x1 will give you your answer

or you could look at the graph and use rise over run rise/run

but i'll do both

so plug in the numbers for that formula and it'll look like this:

2 - (-4) /3 - (-1) = 6/4

and the rise over run:

6 rise 4 run = 6/4

so that's the slope

The last part answers the first part for you, just look at the y-values.

In other words:

<em>A'</em><em> </em>(-8, 2)

<em>B'</em> (-4, 3)

<em>C'</em> (-2, 8)

<em>D'</em> (-10, 6)

Explanation:

When you reflect any point over the x-axis, the y-value of the ordered pair is going to change.

This makes sense especially considering that the x-axis is horizontal, so the only way you could cross is to move up or down. If you were to move left or right, you'd only be able to cross the y-axis, since it's vertical.

Now for the last part, as I mentioned above, if you are reflecting across the y-axis, the x-values of the ordered pair is going to change.

<em>A'</em><em>'</em> (8, 2)

<em>B'</em><em>'</em> (4, 3)

<em>C'</em><em>'</em> (2, 8)

<em>D'</em><em>'</em> (10, 6)

Take note that the only thing that changes for the respective value is its sign, while the number itself stays the same.

Bryan and Jadyn had barbeque potato chips and soda at a football party. Bryan ate 5 oz of chips and drank 1 cup of soda for a
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

1 oz of chips has 120mg of sodium, while in 1 cup of soda there are 50mg of sodium.

Step-by-step explanation:

This question can be solved by a system of equations.

I am going to say that:

x is the number of mg of sodium in 1 oz of chips.

y is the number of mg of sodium in a cup of soda.

Bryan ate 5 oz of chips and drank 1 cup of soda for a total of 650 mg of sodium.

This means that:

5x + y = 650

Jadyn ate 1 oz of chips and drank 5 cups of soda for a total of 250 mg of sodium.

This means that:

x + 5y = 250

From the first equation:

y = 650 - 5x

Replacing in the second

x + 5(650 - 5x) = 250

x + 3250 - 25x = 250

25x = 3000

x = \frac{3000}{25}

x = 120

y = 650 - 5x = 650 - 5*120 = 650 - 600 = 50

1 oz of chips has 120mg of sodium, while in 1 cup of soda there are 50mg of sodium.

the numbers of girls in the choir is 4 times the number of boys in the choir .the total number of students is 60..how many girls
Inessa05 [86]
First, make up some variables to represent the number of Girls and Boys in the choir.

B = number of boys
G = number of girls

You know that there are 4 times as many girls in the choir as boys.  Therefore, the equation you can write is:
\frac{B}{G} =  \frac{1}{4}

If you cross-multiply, then you get the simplified equation:
G = 4B

Intuitively this makes sense since if you multiplied the number of boys in the class by 4, that would be equal to the number of girls you have.

Now, we know that the total class size is 60. So girls plus boys equals 60:
G+B = 60

To solve the equation, replace the G in this equation with the replacement you found before, 4B.
G + B = 60 -->
4B + B = 60 -->
5B = 60 -->
B = 12

However, you are trying to find the number of girls, so plug the answer back into your equation.
G + B = 60 -->
G + 12 = 60 -->
G + 12 -12 = 60 - 12 -->
G = 48

The number of girls you have is 48.

kotykmax [81]
First find the amount at the end of the deferment period using the formula of the future value of a compound interest
A=8,960×(1+0.2735÷12)^(6)
A=10,257.25

Use the amount we found as the present value to find the monthly payment by using the formula of the present value of an annuity ordinary to get
PMT=10,257.25÷((1−(1+0.2735
÷12)^(−12×6))÷(0.2735÷12))
