6 0
<span>–1 + 6(–1 – 3x) > –39 – 2x.
Multiply the number outside of the parenthesis(6) by the numbers inside of the parenthesis(-1 and -3x)
-1 - 6 - 18x> -39 - 2x
Add 2x to both sides so that the x variable is only on one side
-1 - 6 - 16x> -39
Add 1 to both sides
-6 - 16x> -38
Add 6 to both sides
-16x> -32
Divide both sides by -16 so that the only thing that remains is the variable x on one side. Also, since you are dividing by a negative number, you automatically flip the greater than side to less than.
Final Answer: x< -2</span>

1.7 In the following diagram, angle 7 equals 61°.
gladu [14]
1.7) < 7 and < 8 form a linear pair....which means, when added, they equal 180 degrees. So if < 7 = 61, then < 8 = (180 - 61) = 119 <=

1.8) angles that are supplementary will add up to 180. So if one of the angles is 38, then the other one is (180 - 38) = 142 <==

1.9) < 3 = < 5 (vertical angles are congruent)
1.10) < 2 = < 8 (vertical angles are congruent)
1.11) < 7 = < 1 (vertical angles)
1.12) < 6 = < 4 (vertical angles)

In this diagram, bac~edf. if the area of bac= 6 in.², what is the area of edf? PLZ HELP PLZ PLZ PLZ
NemiM [27]

Answer:

2.7 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of ∆BAC : ∆Area of EDF = BC² : EF² (based on the area of similar triangles theorem)

Thus:

6 in^2 : x in^2 = (3 in)^2 : (2 in)^2

\frac{6}{x} = \frac{3^2}{2^2}

\frac{6}{x} = 2.25

\frac{6}{x}*x = 2.25*x

6 = 2.25x

\frac{6}{2.25} = \frac{2.25x}{2.25}

2.67 = x

Area of ∆EDF = 2.7 in²
