<span>–1 + 6(–1 – 3x) > –39 – 2x.
Multiply the number outside of the parenthesis(6) by the numbers inside of the parenthesis(-1 and -3x)
-1 - 6 - 18x> -39 - 2x
Add 2x to both sides so that the x variable is only on one side
-1 - 6 - 16x> -39
Add 1 to both sides
-6 - 16x> -38
Add 6 to both sides
-16x> -32
Divide both sides by -16 so that the only thing that remains is the variable x on one side. Also, since you are dividing by a negative number, you automatically flip the greater than side to less than.
Final Answer: x< -2</span>

M<ABD + m<DBC = m<ABC

x + 38 + x + 122 = 136
add like terms (x +x) (38 + 122)

2x + 160 = 136
Subtract 160 from both sides
2x + 160 -160 = 136 -160

2x = -24
Divide both sides by 2

2x/2 = -24/2

x = -12

Check by taking -12 + 38 + -12 + 122 = 136
26 + 110= 136
136 = 136

Good morning Sir/Ma'am!

Answer:

f(r) = 40r + 26

If she can only afford 10 rolls, then the maximum number of nickels Cindy will have is:

f(10) = 40(10) + 26 = 426 nickels

Step-by-step explanation:

Given function  f(r)=40r+26, where r is the number of rolls of nickels she gets.

as it is already mentioned that she can get up to 10 rolls of nickels.

Therefore domain of function contains r ≤10,such that r is a natural number.

i.e.Domain of f(r)=all integers from 1 to 10, inclusive.

Domain of a f(x) is a set of values of x which make function f(x) well defined.

An arithmetic series is represented by the equation (picture). Which of the following is true?
sukhopar [10]

Answer:

C. The value of the series is equal to the value of the 1st or 24th numbers in the series.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given series is S_{24}=\sum_{k=1}^{24}-6+0.5k.

To find the first term of this series, we substitute k=1 to obtain:

a_1=-6+0.5(1)=-6+0.5=-5.5

To find the 24th term of the series, we put k=24 to get:

a_{24}=-6+0.5(24)=-6+12=6

The value of the series is the sum of all the terms in the series.

We can find the value of the series using the formula:

s_{n}=\frac{n}{2}(a_1+l).

In this case, the last term is a_{24}=l.

\implies s_{24}=\frac{24}{2}(-5.5+6).

\implies s_{24}=12(0.5).

\implies s_{24}=6.

Now let us analyse the options:

A. The value of the series is greater than the value of the 24th number in the series.

False: because 6 is not greater than 6.

B. The value of the series is between the values of the 1st and 24th numbers in the series.

False:  because 6 is not between -5.5 and 6

C. The value of the series is equal to the value of the 1st or 24th numbers in the series.

True: In logics, an "or" statement (disjunction) is true if one of the alternatives is true. In this case the sum of the series is equal to the 24th number of the series because 6=6 is true

D. The value of the series is less than the value of the 1st number in the series.

False: because 6 is not less than -5.5
