Shelly compared the number of oak trees to the number of maple trees as a part of a study about hardwood trees in a woodlot. She

counted 9 maple trees to every 5 oak trees. Later in year there was a bug problem and many trees died. New trees were planted to make sure there was same number of trees as before the bug problem. The new ratio of the number of maple trees to the number of oak trees is 3:11. After planting new trees, there were 132 oak trees. How many more maple trees were in the woodlot before the bug problem than after the bug problem? Explain

The price, P, of a certain stock is given by the formula P = -6t + 50 when t is the number of years since 2000. Find the price o
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

year 2000: P = 50

year 2004: P = 24

Step-by-step explanation:

t is the number of years since 2000, so for the year 2000, we have that t = 0.

Using this value in the equation, we find that:

P = -6 * 0 + 50 = 50

The price of the stock in year 2000 is 50.

For the year 2004, we have that t = 4, so using this value in the equation for P, we have:

P = -6 * 4 + 50 = -24 + 50 = 26

The price of the stock in year 2004 is 24.

Pleaz Helpz!!! I needz this done before my final!!!
Marta_Voda [28]

the perimeter of the field is 442

width=w

the length of the field is 9 yards less than quadruple W

L=4x - 9

the perimeter is P=2L+2W

you can plug in the values

P= 2(4w-9) + 2W

plug in 442 for P

442= 2(4w- 9) + 2W

442= 8w - 36 + 2W

478 =8w + 2W

478= 10W

47.8 is your answer!!!

3. In order to enter the state fair, there is
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

C = 8 + 3x

The rate of change in the above equation is 3 dollars per game and it interpret the cost per game.

The initial value in the above equation is 8 dollars, which interpret the entry fee that every one person has to pay to enter the fair.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the admission cost of the fair is $x and each game is $3.

Now, Steven went to the state fair, played  4 games and spent a total of $20 on  admission and games.

So, we can write 20 = x + 4 × 3 {As the relation is linear}

⇒ x = $8

Therefore, the admission cost in the fair is $8.

Therefore, the equation that models the situation is

C = 8 + 3x ............ (1)

Where C is the total cost and x is the number of games played.

So, the rate of change in equation (1) is 3 dollars per game and it interprets the cost per game.

Again, the initial value in equation (1) is 8 dollars, which interprets the entry fee that each person has to pay to enter the fair. (Answer)
