One angle of a triangle measures 10 degrees more than the second. the measure of the third angle is twice the sum of the first t
Leno4ka [110]
Let x = second angle
let x + 10 = first angle
let 2( (x) + (x+10) ) = third angle.
Since the interior of a triangle equals 180° then,
(x) + (x + 10) + 2((x) + (x + 10)) = 180
x + x + 10 + 2(2x + 10) = 180
x + x + 10 + 4x + 20 = 180
6x + 30 = 180
6x = 150
x = 25
Inputting the value of x gives us each angle.

second angle = 25°
first angle = x + 10 = 25 + 10 = 35°
third angle = 2( (x) + (x+10) ) = 2( (25) + (25+10) )
= 110°

I’m not sure, but I think you divide 360 by each one of those angles.

An article reports "attendance increased 5% this year, to 4948." What was the attendance before the increase? (Round your answer
snow_tiger [21]

Answer: The attendance before the increase was 4712.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the attendance before the increase be 'x'.

Rate of increment = 5%

so, Attendance after increment becomes

\dfrac{100+5}{100}\times x = 4948\\\\\dfrac{105}{100}\times x=4948\\\\1.05\times x=4948\\\\x=\dfrac{4948}{1.05}\\\\x=4712.38\\\\x=4712

Hence, the attendance before the increase was 4712.
