You went to the store for snacks. You purchased 2 bags of chips for $0.75 each, a bottle of juice for $1.09, a donut for $0.68,

five pieces of bubble yum bubble gum for $0.07 each and an ice pop for $0.80. You gave the cashier $10.00. Did you give the cashier enough to buy your items? If so, what is your change. If not, how much do you owe?

Answer:

So add all the numbers together  0.75 + 0.75 = $1.50

Then $1.50 + $1.09 = $2.59

Next $2.59 + $0.68 = $3.27

Also $3.27 + $0.07 + $0.80 = $4.14

You have $4.14 that you spent. The cashier should give you back $5.86.

So yes, you gave the cashier enough money and you got back money too.

The slope of the line that contains the points (2, 11) and (0, 5 ) is 3. Which of the following equations represents this line?
taurus [48]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

This is your current equation: y= 3x + b. Next, plug in one of your coordinates to the equation. It doesn't matter which one. I'm going to use the second ordered pair, so it should look like this: 5 = 3(0) + b. Multiply 3 and 0 to get 5 = b. So, your equation is y = 3x + 5. The correct answer is C. Hope this helped!

How do you find the zeros of an equation
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In general, given the function, f(x), its zeros can be found by setting the function to zero. The values of x that represent the set equation are the zeroes of the function. To find the zeros of a function, find the values of x where f(x) = 0.

Given the function f(x) =
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

The value of f(1) is smaller than the value of f(3)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The correct question is</em></u>

Given the function f(x) = 2x^2 + 3x + 10, find f(1) and f(3). Choose the statement that is true concerning these two values.

The value of f(1) is the same as the value of f(3).

The value of f(1) cannot be compared to the value of f(3).

The value of f(1) is larger than the value of f(3).

The value of f(1) is smaller than the value of f(3)

we have

f(x)=2x^{2}+3x+10

step 1

Find out the value of f(1)

substitute the value of x=1 in the function f(x)

so

For x=1

f(1)=2(1)^{2}+3(1)+10

f(1)=15

step 2

Find out the value of f(3)

substitute the value of x=3 in the function f(x)

so

For x=3

f(3)=2(3)^{2}+3(3)+10

f(3)=37

step 3

Compare the values

37> 15

so

f(3) > f(1)

or

f(1) < f(3)

therefore

The value of f(1) is smaller than the value of f(3)
