The cells have different organelles present in them; these organelles perform their specific functions assigned to them.

The function of the ribosome is to make proteins.

The mitochondrion performs the cellular respiration and form ATP molecules, they supply power to the cells, and hence, they are also referred as the powerhouse of the cell.

The lysosomes are the suicidal bags of the cells; it contains all the enzyme, which digest the cell particles.

Nucleolus is responsible for the formation of the ribosome in the nucleus.

The centrioles are the structures, which forms microtubules. During the cell division, these microtubules attach to the chromosome and separate the chromatids.

The ER of the endoplasmic reticulum is to manufacture and packaging of the cellular secretions (proteins).

Theb chromosomes are the DNA sequences, which store the genetic information.

The Golgi apparatus act as a channel for the passage of the ER secretions, it sort and transport the secretion throughout the cell.

The plastids are the organelles, which perform the storage function. It stores food and the pigments of the cell.

Hence, the correct matches are described below:

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! This figure shows two alleles for the beta-globin gene. The A allele is the most common allele. The S allele
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is option B. The tertiary structure of the beta subunit changes, exposing a hydrophobic cleft which allows hemoglobin to form long chains in RBC.

Explanation:

As it is clearly mention as there is point mutation that leads to single nucleotide change which results in to valine instead of glutamate. Valine is hydrophobic in nature not like glutamate. Valine aggregate and makes a rigid structure of molecules.

Due to this rigid molecule of valine aggregates, RBCs form a crescent or sickle like shape due to the higher viscosity and low solubility of Mutated hemoglobin in deoxy condition. It leads to formation of polymer that blocks the vessels.

Thus, the correct answer is option B.

The maltose molecule can be broken down into two individual glucose molecules with the help of an enzyme produced within a cell.
lys-0071 [83]
I believe the response would be D. Increasing the pH within the cell. This may be the case, because through changing the pH of the cell, the enzyme may form new unwanted interactions, which may affect the arrangement and the structure of the active site, which is will affect the ability of the maltose molecules to bind and undergo the breakdown into glucose molecules.

All enzymes work well or optimally within a given or particular pH. Going above or below will cause additional hydrogen bonds that might form, and other interactions affecting function.

How can tools of molecular biology be used to compare the DNA of two individuals?
sattari [20]
The way that tools of molecular biology can be used to compare the DNA of two individuals is  the restriction enzyme and gel electrophoresis can be used to match or compare DNA. Meanwhile, PCR can be used to copy DNA if there is no enough DNA to examine

hope this helps
