OK so basically think about it protons are positively charged right? so if that is mixed with an atom it will be  positively charged . On the other hand negative is neutrons

In a neutral atom, the number of protons and electrons are always equal.

However, if there are more number of protons than electrons, we say the atom is now positively charged, (since protons are positively charged and the charges on electron cant cancel them out)

If there are more number of electrons than protons, the atom would be negatively charged.

If however there are different number of neutrons in an atom,but same proton number- we call them as isotopes. example 1H2 and 1H3 they have same protons but different neurtrons! hence they are isotopes of hydrogen

The phosphorus cycle is the biogeochemical cycle that describes the movement of phosphorus through the lithosphere,
ludmilkaskok [199]

A

most common source of phosphates in the soil is the weathering of the mineral apatite.

Explanation:

Apatite is a group of phosphate minerals like hydroxylapatite, fluorapatite, and chlorapatite. When apatite rocks weather, they release the phosphate minerals mainly in the form of PO₄ ³⁻ . These minerals become dissolved in water (hydrosphere), where they are readily available to plants and other organisms in the biosphere. The phosphates are taken up and used in biosynthesis. When these organisms die and become buried with sediments, the phosphate gets back to the lithosphere as sedimentary rock.

A car speeds up from 13 m/s to 23 m/s in 30 seconds. What is the acceleration of the car?
ra1l [238]
Well, <span>v = u + a×t is the equation.</span>
<span>
v: final velocity, which is 23 m/s in this equation.</span>
<span>u: initialo velocity = 13 m/s </span>
<span>a: acceleration = ? </span>
<span>t: time = 30s
</span>
Your equation would be...

<span>23 = 13 + a×30 </span>
<span>a = (23 - 13) / 30 </span>
<span>a = 1 / 3 </span>
<span>a = 0.333 m/s</span>

A water skier has a mass of 79.0 kg and accelerates at 1.40 m/s2. What is the net force acting on him? F = ___ N
marysya [2.9K]
The answer is 111.

Using Newton's Second Law, F=ma, plugging known values in we get:

F = (79kg)(1.4m/s^2) = 110.6N ≈ 111N

The voltage V in a circuit that satisfies the law V = IR is slowly dropping as the battery wears out. At the same time, the resi
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

-0.5\times 10^{-4} A/s

Explanation:

We are given that

\frac{dV}{dt}=-0.01 V/s

R=600 ohms

I=0.04 A

\frac{dR}{dt}=0.5ohm/s

V=IR

\frac{dV}{dt}=\frac{\partial V}{dI}\frac{dI}{dt}+\frac{\partial V}{dR}\frac{dR}{dt}

\frac{dV}{dt}=R\frac{dI}{dt}+I\frac{dR}{dt}

Substitute the values

-0.01=600\times \frac{dI}{dt}+0.04\times 0.5

-0.01-0.04\times 0.5=600\frac{dI}{dt}

-0.03=600\frac{dI}{dt}

\frac{dI}{dt}=\frac{-0.03}{600}=-0.5\times 10^{-4}A/s
