The first choice would have to be <u>irrational </u>because Pi never ends.  The second one would be <u>rational</u> because the sentence says that because it says that because the left side is blank, this is a contradiction.  This shows that the answer has to be the opposite of the first one.  Finally, the third option would be <u>Rational</u> because the first sentence says "suppose 4x is irrational"... The last sentence says, "therefore, the assumption is wrong, and the number 4x is _____".   Please let me know if I am wrong. I hope this helps:))))
