I’m a bit confused as to how many boxes come with the T-shirt’s, and because each T-shirt is $10.00 then it will be $80.00? But

$125.00 minus $80.00 is $45.00...I’m confused. Please help!

SCHOOL'S COST
The school's cost for the box of 25 shirts is $125, so each shirt costs the school $5 each.

$125/25 shirts per box= $5 per shirt

If 8 shirts are sold, it costs the school 8 times $5 a shirt.  Everything above $5 per shirt is profit.

8 shirts * $5 per shirt school cost= $40 school cost for 8 shirts

SELLING PRICE
The students are selling the shirts for $10 each.  One student sold 8 shirts for $10 each.

8 shirts * $10 each selling price= $80

FIND DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SELLING PRICE & SCHOOL COST

$80 selling price - $40 school cost= $40 profit

ANSWER: C) $40 profit

Hope this helps!  :)

What polynomial identity should be used to prove that 35 = 8 + 27
Julli [10]

Answer:

Sum of cubes identity should be used to prove 35 =3+27

Step-by-step explanation:

Prove that : 35 = 8 +27

Polynomial identities are just equations that are true, but identities are particularly useful for showing the relationship between two apparently unrelated expressions.

Sum of the cubes identity:

a^3+b^3=(a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2)

Take RHS

8+ 27

We can write 8 as 2 \times 2 \times 2 = 2^3 and 27 as 3 \times 3 \times 3 = 3^3.

then;

8+27 = 2^3+3^3

Now, use the sum of cubes identity;

here a =2 and b = 3

2^3+3^3 = (2+3)(2^2-2\cdot 3+3^2)

or

2^3+3^3 = (5)(4-6+9) = 5 \cdot 7 = 35 = LHS    proved!

therefore, the Sum of cubes polynomial identity should be used to prove that 35 = 8 +27

Aye help me please :)
mina [271]

Answer:

there's no solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

if y = 3x -4 then use this instead of y in the second equation

9x -3(3x+4) = 14 ➡9x-9x -12 = 14 9x will eliminate -9x and -12 can't be = 14 so there's no solution
