Answer: Maintainance of constant internal environment is carried out in a process called Homeostasis.
Explanation:
Maintainance can of several types such as pH, temperature, and other substances such as Concentration of Ammonia in body. These all should maintain at constantly for stability in body. The maintenance of temperature is called thermo regulation.
The following statements apply to autotrophs only:
1. Make their own food.
2. Use inorganic materials to produce energy.
3. Producers.
4. Many use photosynthesis to produce organic compounds.
The following statements apply to heterotrophs only:
1. Consumers.
2.Rely on other organisms for energy.
3. Unable to produce organic compounds from inorganic materials.
4. Obtain their food by consuming other organisms.
Generally, autotrophs are plants, which are capable of trapping the energy of the sun to produce their own food. That is why they are called producers. They have the capacity to produce organic compounds using inorganic raw materials. Other living organisms depend on the foods produced by autotrophs. The heterotrophs do not have the capacity to produce their own foods so they depend on the food produce by autotrophs, they also feed on other living organisms. That is why they are called consumers. <span />
Producers are green plants or photosynthetic organisms that are the basis for the other living parts of any ecosystem. Producers need to have access to light to produce food. Few producers will be found deep below a lakes surface simply because the deeper you travel under water the less light penetrates those deeper layers.
Answer:
Neuroscience
Explanation:
Neuroscience involves professionals from different background apart from medical background. For instance computer software studies about the brain neurology because it has algorithms and computing framework exactly the same as artificial intelligence theory.
Likewise a chemist is involved because there are multiple chemical interactions involved in information processing. A psychologist study about mental processes and human behaviour, thus he/she is also involved.
Answer:
Explanation:
What is the key difference in the energy tradeoff in how fungi and animals descompose material? How does the body plan of each support this?
The fungi kingdom is in charge of material descomposition, their mechanisms for doing this is by their toxins, which are the substances that they produce that descompose the material. On the other hand, the descomponers from the animal kingdom (termites, pill bugs) have a digestive system in which they use their body enzymes to descompose organic materials. Those are their different descomposition materials.
If both types of organisms are in the same environment competing, which do you think would be more successful?
I think that the fungi kingdom would be more successful if is competing for nutrients against the animal kingdom. This is because the fungi kingdom doesn´t need too much time to appear and act, they only need a little quantity of humidity on the environment, and once they appear, they start acting really quickly.
For example, if I leave a piece of cheese on the fridge and is not at the correct temperature, it is more likely for a fungus to appear and descompose the cheese than an animal to appear because the fridge would be completely closed.
