For a - start on the middle line <span>(at 0) </span>going across (x-axis) and go left one, then go up one.
for b - start on the x-axis (at 0) and stay there (don't go up or down because its a 0) then go down 3 on the y-axis until you reach -3
for c - start on the x-axis (at 0) and go over to the right 3 spaces then go up 2 spaces
for d - start on the x-axis (at 0) and go left 3 times until you reach -3, then go down one space to -1
for e - start one x-axis (at 0) then go over 1 space then go down 2 spaces until you reach -2
for f - start on the x-axis (at 0) then go over 1 then go up 3 spaces
*** also your #4 is wrong, the point supposed to be (2,-2) and #3 is supposed to be (1,3)

The longest side of an isosceles right triangle measures 16m. What is the perimeter ofthe triangle?
Andreyy89

Answer:

In right triangle hypotenus(side facing angle 90)is the longest

Step-by-step explanation:

lets say hyp=side1 +side2 were(side1=side2 in isocseles..) and Let x bet the length of side 1

So by applying phythegoras theorem :

hyp^2=x^2+x^2

16^2 =2x^2

2x^2=256

x^2=128

\sqrt{x { }^{2} }  =  \sqrt{128}

x=

8 \sqrt{2}

Parameter=16+8

8 \sqrt{2 }  + 8 \sqrt{2 }  + 16

16 \sqrt{2}  + 16

Find angle A using sin-1
ki77a [65]

Answer:

75°

Step-by-step explanation:

firstly, use the pythagoras theorem

Square root(8²-2²) = 7.75

Then, use sine

sine A= 7.75/8

Sine A=0.9688

A= (sine power of -1) x (0.9688)

A=75.63

Multi step equations
miv72 [106K]

-86 = -6(-3p - 3) - 5p

Distribute the -6 into the parentheses:

-86 = (-6 * -3p) + (-6 * -3) - 5p

-86 = 18p + 18 - 5p

Simplify:

-86 = 13p + 18

Subtract both sides by 18:

-86 - 18 = 13p + 18 - 18

-104 = 13p

Divide both sides by 13:

\frac{13p}{13} = \frac{-104}{13}

\frac{p}{1} = \frac{-8}{1}

<u>p = -8</u>

<u></u>

Good luck! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask :))

Need the (x) &amp; (y) value
Katen [24]

Answer:

x=0

y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

Two equations with two unknowns can be solved. Use the three steps given below.

In general you can save time if you use the simplest expression for step 1. You can choose either expression to start with x =.. or you can rewrite it, so it starts with y =...

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Rewrite the first expression so it starts with y =...

2. Then use that expression and substitute it in the other expression, to find the value for x.

3. Use that value found in step 2. and substitute it in the rewritten expssion you created in step 1. Solve this last expression and you'll get the value for y.

Step 1.

-6y + 11x = -36

-6y = -11x -36

multiply left and right of the = sign by -1

6y = 11x + 36

divide left and right of the = sign by 6

y = 11x/6 + 36/6

y = 11/6x + 6

Step 2.

-4 * ( y ) + 7x = -24

-4 * ( 11/6x + 6 ) + 7x = -24

( -44/6x - 24 ) + 7x = -24

-44/6x + 7x = -24 + 24

You can see immediately that ...x = 0

Just for fun of it ....

-44/6x + 42/6x = 24 - 24

(-44+42)/6x = 0

-2/6x = 0

-1/3x = 0

multiply left and right of the = sign by -3

3/3x = 0 * -3

x = 0

Step 3.

y = 11/6( x ) + 6. and substitute x = 0 gives:

y = 11/6( 0) + 6

y = 0 + 6

y = 6

Jay is hanging 160 feet of Christmas garland on the three sides (two on the width and one on the length) of fencing that enclose
Setler [38]

The length of the fencing is 62.4 feet.

The width of the fencing is 17.6 feet.

Given,

The measurement of the Christmas garland = 160 feet

The width of the fencing = w

The length of the fencing, l = 4w - 8

We have to find the length and width of the fencing.

Here,

Perimeter can be taken as 160. Because garland will cover the entire fencing.

Perimeter = 2(l + w)

160 = 2(4w - 8 + w)

160 = 2(5w - 8)

160/2 = 5w - 8

80 + 8 = 5w

88/5 = w

width = 17.6 feet

Now,

l = 4w - 8

l = 4 × 17.6 - 8

l = 70.4 - 8

length = 62.4 feet

That is,

The length of the fencing is 62.4 feet.

The width of the fencing is 17.6 feet.
