Answer:

10 4/12 or 10 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

First I added the fractions. since they have a common denominator you can add them together easily. 11+5=16 then you will have a improper fraction which would be 16/12 so if you turn it to a proper fraction it would be 1 and 4/12 so then you add the 5+4 and get 9 and then add nine and 1 and 4/12 which is 10 4/12. This fraction can be simplyfied so I divided the 4/12 by 3 and got the fraction in its simpiliest form which is 10 and 1/3.

Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

12.56

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for circumference is either πr² πd. Thats basically just multiplying. All you have to do is take the the diameter and multiply it times pi and you get the answer. In some cases they want you to use the radius; radius is diameter divided by 2. Example is if 4 is the diameter 2 is the radius. For this one i did 4 times 3.14(pi).

I hope that helps!

Julian’s friend James also has a tank in the shape of a triangular prism. The dimensions of James’ tank are each exactly 2 3/4 t
malfutka [58]

The approximate area of the triangular base of James’ tank is 3025 in²

To find the approximate area of the triangular base of James' tank, we need to know what scale is.

What is scale?

A scale is the ratio of two dimension. It is given by scale = New dimension/old dimension

Given that the dimensions of James’ tank are each exactly 2 3/4 times the dimensions of Julian’s tank.

The scale of the area of James' tank to the area of triangular base of Julian's tank is S = (2³/₄)²

= (11/4)²

= 121/16

Let

 • A = area of triangular base of James' tank,
 • A' = area of triangular base of Julian's tank = 400 in²

So, scale, S = A/A'

The approximate area of the triangular base of James’ tank

So, making A subject of the formula, we have

A = SA'

A = 121/16 × 400 in²

A = 121 × 25 in²

A = 3025 in²

So, the approximate area of the triangular base of James’ tank is 3025 in²
