Answer:

As the temperature rises the solubility of all gases in water also will decrease.

Explanation:

The solubility of gases in water increase with the decrease of the temperature, and vice-versa.

The scape of the gas molecules from solution occurs by the breaks of the intermolecular bonds as a consequence of the increase of the kinetic energy which causes an increase in the motion of the gas molecules in solution.

That is why as the temperature rises the solubility of all gases in water also will decrease.

I hope it helps you!

Answer: drops or decreases

Explanation:

When you add a solute to a solvent, the kinetic energy of the solvent molecules overcomes the attractive forces among solute particles.

The solute particles leave the surface of the solid and move into the dissolved (aqueous) phase. In the image below the mass of grey (-) balls and green (+) balls represent a salt crystal. As the salt dissolves, the positive and negative ions are pulled apart and become surrounded by water molecules. If we heat the solvent, the average kinetic energies of its molecules increases. Hence, the solvent is able to dislodge more particles from the surface of the solute.

Thus, increasing the temperature increases the solubilities of substances. For example, sugar and salt are more soluble in water at higher temperatures.

But, as the temperature increases, the solubility of a gas in a liquid decreases. As temperature increases, the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules increases.

As a result, the gas molecules dissolved in the liquid are more likely to escape to the gas phase and not return.(Ernest Z. · mrpauller.weebly.com · Priya

If a ball is thrown vertically upward from the roof of 32 foot building with a velocity of 64 ft/sec, its height after t seconds
stepan [7]

Answer:

a) s_{max} = 96\,ft, b) v(4.449\,s) = -78.368\,\frac{ft}{s}

Explanation:

a) The maximum height is obtained with the help of the First and Second Derivative Tests:

First Derivative

v(t) = 64 - 32\cdot t

64 - 32\cdot t = 0

t = 2\,s

Second Derivative

a(t) = -32 (absolute maximum)

The maximum height reached by the ball is:

s (2\,s) = 32 + 64\cdot (2\,s) - 16\cdot (2\,s)^{2}

s_{max} = 96\,ft

b) The time required by the ball to hit the ground is:

32+64\cdot t - 16\cdot t^{2} = 0

-16\cdot (t^{2}-4\cdot t - 2) = 0

t^{2}-4\cdot t - 2 = 0

(t -4.449)\cdot (t+0.449)\approx 0

Just one root offers a solution that is physically reasonable:

t = 4.449\,s

The velocity of the ball when it hits the ground is:

v(4.449\,s) = 64 - 32\cdot (4.449\,s)

v(4.449\,s) = -78.368\,\frac{ft}{s}
