No, They will need 131.94 more dollars.
The exponential growth formula can help us find how much is to be deposited each month and then adding them together for the 5 months after the initial deposit will give us the amount saved.
y=a(1+r)^{x}
a is the initial value (120)
r is the rate of growth (0.25)
x is time [0,1,2,3,4,5)
March
120(1+.25)^{0} = 120
April
120(1+.25)^{1} = 150
May
120(1+.25)^{2} = 187.5
June
120(1+.25)^{3} = 234.38
July
120(1+.25)^{4} = 292.97
August
120(1+.25)^{5} = 366.21

Totals
120+150+187.5+234.38+292.97+366.21= 1351.06 totalt saved by august

1483-1351.06 = 131.94 needed.

Nate and Maya are building model cars. Maya's car is 3 inches less than 2 times the length of Nate's car. The sum of the lengths
Leni [432]

Answer:

Option D.) x + 2x − 3 = 26

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ------> the length of Nate's car

y ------> the length of Maya's car

we know that

x+y=26 -----> equation A

y=2x-3 ----> equation B

substitute equation B in equation A and solve for x

x+(2x-3)=26

3x=26+3

x=29/3 in

Find the value of y

y=2(29/3)-3

y=(58/3)-3

y= 49/3 in

Can I have help with the question
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

Midpoint = (3.5, 4.5)

Perpendicular bisector = y =  \frac{7}{9} x + \frac{16}{9}

Step-by-step explanation:

[] We can solve this using the midpoint formula:

-> See attached

[] Plug-in our coordinates and solve:

(\frac{7+0}{2} ,\frac{0+9}{2} )=(\frac{7}{2} ,\frac{9}{2} )=(3.5,4.5 )

[] Now we will find the slope to solve for the perpendicular bisector.

-> We will use slope-intercept form, see attached

\frac{9-0}{0-7}=\frac{9}{-7}

-> The slopes of two perpendicular lines are negative reciprocals of each other, so \frac{7}{9} will be the slope of or perpendicular bisector

-> Now we can solve for the equation by using y – y1 = m ( x – x1), were y1 and x1 are the coordinates of our midpoint

y - 4.5 = \frac{7}{9} (x-3.5)

y - 4.5 = \frac{7}{9} x-\frac{49}{18}

y = \frac{7}{9} x-\frac{49}{18} + 4.5

y =  \frac{7}{9} x + \frac{16}{9}

Have a nice day!

Triangle A″B″C″ is formed using the translation (x + 2, y + 0) and the dilation by a scale factor of one half from the origin. W
Travka [436]

Complete question:

Triangle A″B″C″ is formed using the translation (x + 2, y + 0) and the dilation by a scale factor of one half from the origin. Which equation explains the relationship between segment AB and segment A double prime B double prime?

A) segment a double prime b double prime = segment ab over 2

B) segment ab = segment a double prime b double prime over 2

C) segment ab over segment a double prime b double prime = one half

D) segment a double prime b double prime over segment ab = 2

Answer:

A) segment a double prime b double prime = segment ab over 2.

It can be rewritten as:

A"B" = \frac{AB}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we are given triangle A″B″C which was formed using the translation (x + 2, y + 0) and the dilation by a scale factor of one half from the origin.

We know segment A"B" equals segment AB multiplied by the scale factor.

A"B" = AB * s.f.

Since we are given a scale factor of ½

Therefore,

A"B" = AB * \frac{1}{2}

A"B" = \frac{AB}{2}

The equation that explains the relationship between segment AB and segment A"B" is

A"B" = \frac{AB}{2}

Option A is correct
