The ammeter reading (current) will decrease.
V=IR
I = V/R
so I is inversely proportional to R, i.e. increasing R will cause I to decrease

V = IR

The current I is inversely proportional to the Resistance R.

That means if the Resistance R is increased the Current I will be decreased. That is because the relationship is inverse.

So if the current I is decreased, that means the reading of the ammeter is decreased as well.

decreased

Hope this helps.

How does the momentum of a fast object compare to that of a slow object if they both have the same mass?
Varvara68 [4.7K]
The momentum of a fast object compared to that of a slow object even if they both have the same mass, is their velocities.

Having same mass but different velocities results in different momentum.

Example: mass = 10kg
Velocity 1 = 50 Velocity 2 = 100
Momentum 1 = 10×50 = 500 Ns
Momentum 2 = 10×100 = 1000 Ns

Hope it helped!

A 90kg cannon fires 100kg shell with muzzle velocity of 75m/s. Calculate the recoil velocity of the cannon relative to the groun
Gala2k [10]

Answer: 83.8 m/s

Explanation:

momentum of shell = momentum of cannon

M(s) × V(s) = M(c) × V(c)

M(s) = mass of shell, V(s) = velocity of shell

M(c) = mass of cannon, V(c) = velocity of cannon

100kg × 75m/s = 90kg × V(c)

7500 = 90 × V(c)

7500 ÷ 90 = V(c)

83.3 = V(c)
