I'll break it down for you. Here are the main points:

-has 2 large servings

-made from 9 pints

-x represents how many pints

-y represents how many servings

Now that we know this we can find what each serving comes out to be for example:

\frac{9}{2\\}=4.5 or 4\frac{1}{2}

So for each serving it will come out to be 4.5 pints.

Now that we know this we can figure out the slope to find what the equation which is for example the slope for this equation would be rise over run for example:

\frac{rise}{run}=\frac{1}{4.5}=\frac{2}{9}when simplified.

So our equation would be (also the answer) y=\frac{2}{9}x

Hope this helps my dude ^^ If you have more questions go ahead and ask.

I don't understand rational and irrational numbers
PSYCHO15rus [73]

A rational number is a number which can be expressed as a fraction whose numerator and denominator are both integers and whose denominator is not equal to zero. Rational numbers include all integers, fractions, mixed numbers, and some decimal numbers.

Note : All terminating and repeating decimal numbers are rational numbers because those numbers can be expressed as a fraction. On the other hand, a non repeating number and non terminating decimal, like square root of 2, is an irrational number.

\dfrac{7}{16} \ as \ a \ decimal = 0.4375

Set \ up \ the \ long \ division.

Calculate \ 70 \div 16, \ which \ is \ 4 \ with \ a \ remainder \ of \ 6.

Bring \ down \ 0, so \ that \ 60 \ is \ large \ enough \ to \ be \ divided \ by \ 16.

Calculate \ 60 \div 16, which \ is \ 3 \ with \ a \ remainder \ of \ 12.

Bring \ down \ 0, so \ that \ 120 \ is \ large \ enough \ to \ be \ divided \ by \ 16.

Calculate \ 120 \div 16, which \ is \ 7 \ with \ a \ remainder \ of \ 8.

Bring \ down \ 0, so \ that \ 80 \ is \ large \ enough \ to \ be \ divided \ by \ 16.

Calculate \ 80 \div 16, which \ is \ 5.

Marjorie is playing a new board game the rule state that when a player's piece lands on a red square the player must pay a penal
alexdok [17]

Interpreting the situation, it is found that Marjorie will have 240 left after paying her penalty.

---------------------

  • When the piece lands on the red square, the penalty is equal to <u>30 times the sum they roll on two numbers.</u>
  • Marjorie rolls 4 and 2, thus, the sum is 6.
  • The penalty is of 6 \times 30 = 180
  • She currently has 420, the penalty removes 180, thus, she will have 420 - 180 = 240 left after paying her penalty.
