Well we know that the exterior angle plus the interior angle is equal to 180.
In this case: 180-72=One interior angle.
180-72=108
Knowing that we can now find the number of sides.
We know that the exterior angles have to add up to 360 and we know ht measure of one of the angles. We divide these numbers and we can use this to solve for the number of sides.
360/72=number of sides
360/72=5
You have 5 sides and one interior angle measures 108 degrees.

charle [14.2K]
Alice has read 150 pages, you would multiple 200 by .75 (75%). If Nina had read 50% of her book and she read 150, you multiple by 2, and get 300. So Nina has 300 pages in her book.

What is the area of the figure?

Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

5.4 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

Figuring out the area of shapes like these are quite simple, you first have to break apart this shape to make solving this easier. If you draw a line and break off the triangle from the square you will get 2 different shapes. A square with all the sides being 2 inches, and a triangle that is 2 inches tall and 1.4 inches across (you subtract 3.4 by 2). Next you just use the equation (2 * 2) + ((1.4 * 2)/2). Multiply 2 by 2 (which is 4) and you get the area of the square (you multiply the base by the width). And for the triangle you multiple 1.4 by 2 (you get 2.8)... But because it's a triangle you have to divide that number by 2 since the triangle is half of a square. So 2.8 / 2 is going to be 1.4. After that you now have the equation 4 + 1.4 and the answer is going to be 5.4.

24. A farmstand collected $350 from sales on Wednesday. This amount was $75
larisa [96]

Answer:

$100

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

 • Wednesday sales = $350

If the amount collected from sales on Wednesday was $75 greater than the amount collected from sales on Tuesday, then Tuesday's sales were $75 less than Wednesday's sales:

 • Tuesday sales = $350 - $75 = $275

If the amount collected from sales on Wednesday was two times as great as the amount collected from sales on Monday, then Monday's sales were half Wednesday's sales:

 • Monday sales = $350 ÷ 2 = $175

To calculate how much more the farmstand collected from sales on Tuesday than it collected on Monday, subtract the Monday sales from the Tuesday sales:

 • $275 - $175 = $100
