To avoid slouching, keep your ears, shoulders, and hips aligned. Make sure you have a proper chair that fits you. Choose a chair that provides support for your lower back and allows your feet to be flat on the floor with your knees the same level as your hips.
You might want to have someone to watch and take care of you because of your disability assuming you were released by your doctor. You need someone there to make sure you don't hurt yourself. Another thing you should consider is taking a lot of rest. You should also do stretching and walking with a cane or some other equipment your hospital has provided. Overall your doctor should be telling you what and what not to do.
