The slope of the line passing through the points (5 5) is 5/6. All of the following points could be on the line except?

Mathematics

6 0
So slope formula
Y2-y1/x2-x1

To lay on the line, the filled in slope formula with point one (5,5) and another point (A,B,C,D,E) should be 5/6
So lets find the answer :)
A (5-2)/(5-(5/2))= 3/(-5/2) = 6/-5
B (10-5)/(11-5)= 5/6
C (7,5-5)/(8-5)= (2,5/3)= (5/2)/3= 5/6
D (5-0)/(5-(-1))=5/6
E (5-(-5))/(5-(-7))= (10/12)= 5/6

So the first one doest lay on the line
Hope this helps

HELP ASAP WILL GIVE BRAININST IF:
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

slope is -7/8

Step-by-step explanation:

ok

first remember these to formulas:

m= \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

and

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

now insert the points:

\frac{-3-4}{3-(-5)}= -7/8

slope intercept form:

y - 4 = -7/8(x - (-5)

y - 4 = -7/8(x + 5)

y = -7x/8 - 3/8

Have a nice day!

and if you have a question or if I did anything wrong please tell me.

A scale drawing of an automobile has a scale of 1 in.
Paul [167]
The correct question in the attached figure

we know that
the scale is 1 in (scale drawing)= (1/2) foot (actual)-----> 1/(1/2)=2 in/ft
[scale]=[scale drawing]/[actual]
then
[scale drawing]=[scale]*[actual]
therefore
for actual width of the car 8 ft
[scale drawing]=[2 in/ft]*[8 ft]=16 in

the answer is 16 in
