Sum\ of\ congrugent\ angles\ is\ 180^{\circ}.\\\\
LNM+JNL=180^{\circ}\\\\
8x+12+12x-32=180\\\\
20x-20=180 \ \ \ |Add\ 20\\\\
20x=200\ \ \ |Divide\ by\ 20\\\\
x=10\\\\
JNL=12x-32=12*10-32=120-32=88^{\circ}

Given the figure below, find the values of x and z.
N76 [4]

Answer:

x=9

z=73

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle 107 and 8x+35 are vertical angles, so they are equal

107 = 8x+35

Subtract 35 from each side

107-35 = 8x+35

72 = 8x

Divide by 8

72/8 = 8x/8

9 =x

We also know that 107 and z are supplementary angles since they form a straight line.  This means they add to 180 degrees

107+z = 180

Subtract 107 from each side

107-107+z=180-107

z =73

Solve by completing the square<br><br>x squared +14x - 51=0
Nesterboy [21]
x^2 +14x - 51=0\\ \\\Delta = b^{2}-4ac =14^{2}-4*1*(-51)=196+204=400 \\ \\x_{1}=\frac{-b-\sqrt{\Delta }}{2a} =\frac{-14- \sqrt{400}}{2}=\frac{-14-20}{2}= \frac{-34}{2}=-17\\ \\x_{2}=\frac{-b+\sqrt{\Delta }}{2a} =\frac{-14+ \sqrt{400}}{2}=\frac{-14+20}{2}= \frac{6}{2}=3

HACTEHA [7]
In order to know what the polygon is, you have to plot the coordinates. After plotting, it is obviously shown a form of a rectangle. After connecting the midpoints of the sides, it formed a (D) rhombus, not a kite.
