A graduated cylinder has a mass of 50 g when empty. When 30 mL of water is added, the graduated cylinder has a mass of 120 g. If

a rock is added to the graduated cylinder, the water level rises to 75 mL and the total mass is now 250 g. What is the density of the rock?

Answer:

2.9g/cm^3

Explanation:

We're given that the mass of the system before the rock was added was

120g . The mass after the rock was added was 250g, so the rock's mass is 130g.

The initial volume of water in the graduated cylinder was

30 mL , and the volume after the rock was added read 75mL , so the rock's volume is 45mL

Density = Mass over Volume.

AKA. 130g/45mL

2.9g/cm^3 (rounded)

PLEASE ANSWER “Tessa uses a toy slingshot to launch a tennis ball across the park for her dog to fetch. For her first launch, sh
Inessa05 [86]

The third launch ( with 300 N force) had the greatest acceleration of the tennis ball

Further explanation

Newton's 2nd law explains that the acceleration produced by the resultant force on an object is proportional and in line with the resultant force and inversely proportional to the mass of the object

∑F = m. a

\large{\boxed{\bold{a=\frac{\sum F}{m}}}

F = force, N

m = mass = kg

a = acceleration due to gravity, m / s²

From the above equation it has been shown that the force acting on the object is directly proportional to its acceleration, so the greater the force exerted on the object, the greater the acceleration of the object produced.

How many seconds would it take to deposit 17.3 g of ag (atomic mass = 107.87) from a solution of agno3 using a current of 10.00
Brums [2.3K]
Data Given:

Time = t = ?

Current = I = 10 A

Faradays Constant = F = 96500

Chemical equivalent = e = 107.86/1 = 107.86 g

Amount Deposited = W = 17.3 g

Solution:
             According to Faraday's Law,

                                          W  =  I t e / F

Solving for t,

                                          t  =  W F / I e
Putting values,
                                          t  =  (17.3 g × 96500) ÷ (10 A × 107.86 g)

                                          t  =  1547.79 s

                                          t  = 1.54 × 10³ s
