One equation in a system of linear equations is y=2x+1
Rufina [12.5K]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation:

 • y = 2x + 1

a. write a second equation so that (1,3) is the only solution of the system

To have only one solution the equation must have a different slope.

Let it be 10, then the y-intercept of y = 10x + b is:

 • 3 = 1*10 + b ⇒ b = -7

And the equation:

 • y = 10x - 7

b. Write a second equation so that the system has infinitely many solutions

To have infinitely many solutions, both equations must be same:

 • y = 2x + 1

c. Write a second equation so that the system has no solutions.

To have no solutions, the equations must have same slope but different y-intercepts:

 • y = 2x + 5

PLEASE HELP I NEED HELP !!!!!!!! The graph of a line passes through the two points (-2, 1) and (2, 1). What is the equation of t
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

y - 1 = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that Equation of a line is given by,

y - y₁ / x - x₁ = y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁

Let A(-2,1) and B(2,1)

x₁ = -2 ; x₂ = 2 ; y₁ = 1 ; y₂ = 1

Substituting the values,

y - 1 / x - (-2) = 1 - 1 / 2 - (-2)

y - 1 / x + 2 = 0

y - 1 = 0

Imagine an experiment with 20 groups, and within each group, there are 50 participants. How many degrees of freedom are there fo
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer: There are 980 degrees of freedom for the within subjects factor.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of groups = 20

Number of participants in each group = 50

So, number of participants in 20 groups is given by

20\times 50\\\\=1000

As we know that

Degrees of freedom for the within subjects factor would be

v=n-k\\\\v=1000-20\\\\v=980

Hence, there are 980 degrees of freedom for the within subjects factor.

NEED HELP ASAP!!
storchak [24]

Answer: 1.2 in

Step-by-step explanation:

The pythagorean theorem states that a²+b²=c². Thus, 0.9²+b²=1.5².

1.5²=2.25

0.9^2=0.81

0.81 + b² = 2.25

1.44 = b²

b = 1.2

Hope it helps <3 :)
