The answer is; D. The movement of water molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration

A is not correct because Osmosis does not create DNA.

B is incorrect because the movement of molecules through the cell membrane is called Passive Transport.

C is incorrect because the division process of the cell's cytoplasm is called Mitosis.

Thus brings us to D which is the correct answer because Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of water across a semipermeable membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a more concentrated solution, up a concentration gradient.

Answer by Mimiwhatsup: D. the movement of water molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration

Why is this right by Mimiwhatsup: Osmosis is a process in which molecules pass through a membrane from less concentrated to higher concentrated one which equalizes it. I choose this one because it makes the most sense out of the rest because none of the rest explain it's process. Osmosis is a passive transport and which means it does not require energy to be applied.
