Consider the two triangles. Triangles A B C and H G I are shown. Angles A C B and H I G are right angles. The length of side A C

is 15 and the length of side C B is 20. The length of side H I is 12 and the length of I G is 9. To prove that the triangles are similar by the SAS similarity theorem, it needs to be shown that

Answer:

Both are similar by SAS similarity.

This SAS similarity is equivalent to the congruence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

To prove that ACB and HIG as similar triangles.

We have to look upon the corresponding sides.

SAS= Side angle sides , there the angle must be in between two sides.

\angle ACB = \angle HIG

Lets work on the corresponding sides.

IG/AC = IH/AC

\frac{9}{15} = \frac{12}{20}

Reducing each to lowest form, we divide numerator and denominator by 3 for the 1st fraction and by 4 for the 2nd fraction.

We have

\frac{3}{5} = \frac{3}{5}

Both sides are equal.

So its proved that both are similar with SAS similarity theorem.

Use a number line to show the sum of 6 + (–7).
mylen [45]
So there is a rule
(+)(+)=+
(-)(+)= -
(+)(-)= -
So now if you subtract 6 with 7 you will end up having -1 as you’re answer. Hope this helps

Write an equation in point-slope form of the line that passes through (3, -8) and (7,-2).
sashaice [31]

Answer:

A line that passes through (3, -8) and (7,-2).

Denote equation of that line: y = ax + b

=> Slope a can be directly determined by:

a = (7 - 3)/(-2 - -8) = 4/6 = 2/3

=> y = (2/3)x + b

This line passes (3, -8), then: -8 = (2/3)*3 + b => -8 = 2 + b => b = -10

=> y =(2/3)x - 10

There are other ways to find equation of line.

Hope this helps!

What is 8  23/100 as a decimal
KengaRu [80]
So since there is a mixed number, 8 means there are 8 one-hundreds and 23 remaining ones. So, 800+23=823 ones. 823/100 as an improper fraction. since it is already out of 100, your job is easy. you now divide 823 by 100 (move the decimal over to the left 2 places) and you get 8.23 as a decimal. Hope i helped!!
