A manufacturer of tennis rackets finds that the total cost of manufacturing x rackets/day is given by 0.0003x2 + 4x + 500 dollar

s. Each racket can be sold at a price of p dollars, where p = −0.0002x + 9 Find an expression giving the daily profit P for the manufacturer, assuming that all the rackets manufactured can be sold. Hint: The total revenue is given by the total number of rackets sold multiplied by the price of each racket. The profit is given by revenue minus cost. (Simplify your answer completely.)

Answer:

PT =-0.0005^2 +5x - 500

Step-by-step explanation:

We have price (P) = -0.0002x + 9

to calculate Total revenue (TR) we have to multiply Price by Production quantity.

TR=P * X   , we denote production quantity with the letter X.

TR=(-0.0002x + 9)*x

We apply distributive law and then we have:

TR=-0.0002x^2 + 9x  , this is the Total revenue (TR) of selling X amount of production at a P price.

Now we only have to find the Profit (PT) using the formula:

PT=TR - TC  , TR is total revenue and TC is total cost

The expression of the daily profit (PT) for the manufacturer is:

PT=-0.0002x^2 + 9x - (0.0003x^2 + 4x + 500)

PT= - 0.0002^2 + 9x -0.0003^2 -4x -500

PT =-0.0005^2 +5x - 500

Answer:

31.5

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to first use the formula of calculating surface area of a cuboid

SA=2(lw+lh+wh)

now you put the values in as

H=3

W=1.5

L=2.5

You get 31.5

Hope this Helps!

Please find the area of the figure!!
Murrr4er [49]

The figure consists of a rectangle and a circle.

first lets find the sides of the triangle

sides of the triangle are 4+4=8 and 3+1=4

therefore area of the rectangle is 8*4=32

now area of semicircle =πr^2/2 = π2^2/2=2π=6.3

we have to add the area of rectangle with the area of semicircle

this is because it the given figure no part of area of circle and rectangle are in common.

therefore total area of given figure = 32+6.3=38.3

The length of a rectangle is three times it's width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 100 inches. What are the dimensions of th
Pavel [41]

Answer:

Dimensions : 37.5 * 12.5

length : 37.5

width : 12.5

Step-by-step explanation:

let x = length and y = width

x = 3y based on info from problem

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

100 = 2(x + y)

substitute 3y for x

100 = 2(3y + y)

100 = 2(4y)

100 = 8y

y = 12.5

x = 3(12.5) = 37.5
