A spherical interplanetary probe of 0.5-m diameter contains electronics that dissipate 150 W. If the probe surface has an emissi

vity of 0.8 and the probe does not receive radiation from other surfaces, as, for example, from the sun, what is its surface temperature?

Answer:254.7 K

Explanation:

Given

diameter(d)=0.5 m

Energy dissipate(E_g)=150 w

emissivity(\epsilon )=0.8

According to conservation of Energy Energy generation and energy dissipation at any instant is given by

-E_{out}+E_g=0

E_g=\epsilon A_s\sigma T^4

T=\frac{E_g}{\epsilon A_s\simga }^{\frac{1}{4}}

T=(\frac{150}{0.8\pi (0.5)^2\times 5.67\times 10^{-8}})^{\frac{1}{4}}

T=254.7 K

Lena [83]

Answer: Number of panels needed is 27

Daily energy per 250 W panel is 1.1kWhr

Daily house energy used is 30kWhr

Explanation: To get 27 panel it is 250*30/1.1 =6818

6818/250= 27 panels needed daily

Alisiya [41]

Answer:

MRR = 1.984

Explanation:

Given that

Depth of cut ,d=0.105 in

Diameter D= 1 in

Speed V= 105 sfpm

feed f= 0.015 ipr

Now  the metal   removal  rate   given as

MRR= 12 f V d

d= depth of cut

V= Speed

f=Feed

MRR= Metal removal rate

By putting the values

MRR= 12 f V d

MRR = 12 x 0.015 x 105 x 0.105

MRR = 1.984

Therefore answer is -

1.944
