1.who was put on trial in 1633 for contradicting the roman catholic church by arguing that earth moved around the sun.
Alika [10]
Galileo discovered that the Earth rotated around the Sun, rather than the common belief that everything moved around the Earth. However, the Catholic church taught that everything moved around the Earth, as they believed that was what God had said and intended. Since the Catholic church arguably held all of the power in the Middle Ages, he was put on trial.

How was the economic situation in the United States different than in European nations in the 1920s?
Irina18 [472]
The economy in the United States in the 1920's varied greatly from European countries. After WWl, Europe struggled to rebuild. Europe had taken the brunt of the attacks and went into a deep depression. The United States in contrast boomed. The economy was better than ever before. Since no attacks had happened on American soil, we were able to mass produce consumer goods, etc. People were buying on credit, investing in the stock market, and moving to the city. Life was good in America; not so good in Europe.
