Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

Let b represent the cost of popcorn bucket and m represents the cost of 1 movie ticket.

The total cost for a bucket of popcorn and 4 movie tickets is $56.

⇒ b+4m= 56

The total cost for the same size bucket of popcorn and 6 movie tickets is $80.

⇒ b+6m=80

b+6m-(b+4m)=80-56

⇒ 2m=24

⇒ m=12

Putting value of m in b+4m=56

⇒ b+12×4=56

⇒b+48=56

⇒ b=56-48

⇒ b=8

Hence, cost of 1 movie ticket=$ 12

and cost of 1 bucket popcorn=$ 8

Let y be the total cost of the popcorn and movie tickets and x be the number of movie tickets that are purchased

⇒ 8+12x=y

Hence,  equation represents the relationship between y and x is:

y= 8+12x

Adding 2 movie tickets makes the cost go from 56 to 80. Since the difference is 24, each ticket cost $12. To find the bucket, use the original statement of 4 tickets ($48) plus 1 bucket of popcorn equals $56. The answer for each popcorn bucket is $8.

Triangles WSR and TVR are similar. Find x.
Vlad [161]

They are similar. Set the proportions equal to each other

(x + 8)/8 = (x+14)/12

Cross multiply

(x + 8)/8 (8)(12) = (x + 14)/12 (12)(8)

12(x + 8) = 8(x + 14)

Distribute the 12 and 8 to the corresponding monomials inside the parenthesis

12(x + 8) = 12x + 96

8(x + 14) = 8x + 112

12x + 96 = 8x + 112

Isolate the x. Subtract 8x from both sides and 96 from both sides

12x (-8x) + 96 (-96) = 8x (-8x) + 112 (-96)

12x - 8x = 112 - 96

4x = 16

Isolate the equal sign. Divide 4 from both sides

4x/4 = 16/4

x = 16/4

x = 4

4 is your answer for x

Traveling at an average rateaverage rate of between 40 and 50 miles per hour for 3 to 4 hours select the best estimate for the d
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

160 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance = speed × time

Speed 1 = 40miles/hr , speed 2 = 50 miles/hr

Time 1 = 3 hrs,  time 2 = 4 hrs

Distance 1 = speed 1 × time 1

= 40× 3 = 120 miles

Distance 2 = speed 2 × time 2

= 50 × 4 = 200 miles

Average distance = (distance 1+distance 2 ) ÷ 2

Distance = (200+120) ÷ 2 = 320 ÷2

= 160 miles

I hope this was helpful, please mark as brainliest

Which graph represents the solution to the given system y=3x+2 and y=3x-1
Bogdan [553]
There wouldn't be a solution: because both equations have the same slope of 3, they would be parallel to each other. The best graph to pick would be the one with two positive steep slopes that are 3 up every one to the right.
