A chemical label should include: a product identifier, signal word, hazard statement, precautionary statement,pictorgrams and supplier information

Explanation:

The product identifier : positioned at the upper left end corner of the label gives the identity of the hazardous chemical by appropriate terms. i.e. the name and code

Signal word: The "Danger" and "WARNING" words. The former is used for a more severe hazard where as the former is for a less severe hazard

Hazard statement : gives a description of the nature and degree of hazard of the chemical

Precautionary statements : Put for workers and users on ways to minimize exposure and lower risks in event of contact with the harmful chemical

Supplier information : It has the chemical manufacturer details such as name, location and telephone number.

Pictograms : Normally symbols with red borders for visual illustration of the hazard chemical.

Nastasia [14]

Complete Question

The two isolated parallel plate capacitors be-  low, one with plate separation d and the other  with D > d, have the same plate area A and

are given the same charge Q.

What is the energy in the spark produced by discharging the second capacitor?

 1. The same as the discharge spark of the first capacitor

2. More energetic than the discharge spark of the first capacitor

3. Less energetic than the discharge spark of the first capacitor

Answer:

The correct option is 2

Explanation:

The formula for the energy stored in the capacitor is

             U = \frac{Q^2}{2C}

And generally the formula for finding the capacitance of a capacitor is

               C = \frac{\epsilon_oA}{d}

We can denote the capacitance of the first capacitor as C_1 = \frac{\epsilon_oA}{d}

          and   denote the capacitance of the second  capacitor as C_2 = \frac{\epsilon_oA}{D}

Looking at this formula we can see that C varies inversely with d

as D > d it means that C_1 > C_2

                Since the charge is constant

                         U\  \alpha\ \frac{1}{C} i.e U varies inversely with C

           So C_1 > C_2   => U_2 >U_1

This means that the energy of spark would be more for capacitor two compared to capacitor one

The correct option is 2

You jump off a truck and accelerate toward the surface of the Earth. Does the Earth accelerate toward you?
Triss [41]

When we jump from the truck and accelerate towards the earth surface, the earth also accelerates towards us but it's acceleration is very negligible.

To find the answer, we need to know about the acceleration of earth due to the gravitational attraction.

<h3>What's the gravitational force between the earth and a person?</h3>
  • Gravitational attraction force is GMm/r² between the earth and a person.
  • M= mass of the earth

m= mass of the person

r= separation between them.

<h3>What's the acceleration of the earth towards the person when he jumps from a truck?</h3>
  • According to Newton's second law, Force = M×acceleration
  • Acceleration= Force / M
  • Here, Force = GMm/r²,

so acceleration of earth= Gm/r²

  • As this acceleration is very small, so we can't notice it.

Thus, we can conclude that the earth also accelerates towards us.
