The constant of proportionality (A) equals up to the total price (X) divided by the number of cans or ect. (X). k = y/x. Or, the total price equals the constant of proportionality multiplied by the number of cans: y = kx. The second formula is a common alternate form of the constant of proportionality formula.

This should help (; thanks for the points also you answer my question a minute ago and heres a little pay back.

Check the picture below.

the constant of proportionality, namely the slope, for the original rectangle will just be 4/2 = 2, and for the dilated version shown that he did, it'll be 20/10 = 2.

part B)

we know the slope is 2, or 2/1 so then

\bf \cfrac{length}{width}\implies \stackrel{\stackrel{slope}{\downarrow }}{\cfrac{rise}{run}}\implies \cfrac{2}{1}~\hspace{2.7em}\stackrel{\textit{using a rectangle with a lenght of 14~\hfill }}{\cfrac{14}{w}=\cfrac{2}{1}\implies 14=2w\implies \cfrac{14}{2}=w\implies 7=w}
