Answer: a)2028

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The population (in millions) of a certain island can be approximated by the function  p(x)=50(1.05)^x , where x is the number of years since 2000.

To find the year in  in which year will the population reach 200 million, substitute p(x)=200, we get

200=50(1.05)^x\\\\\Rightarrow(1.05)^x=4

Taking natural log on both the sides , we get

\ln((1.05)^x=\ln(4)\\\\\Rightarrow\ x(\ln(1.05))=\ln4\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=\dfrac{\ln4}{\ln(1.05})=\dfrac{1.38629}{0.04879}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=28.4134043861\approx28\text{ years}

The year will be 2000+28=2028

Hence, in 2028  the population will reach 200 million.

Solve the following system of equations algebraically... NEED HELP PLZ
lana [24]

Answer:

flour $42 , bag of sugar $58

Step-by-step explanation:

let f represent flour and s represent sugar, then

7f + 5s = 584 → (1)

5f + 3s = 384 → (2)

Multiplying (1) by 3 and (2) by - 5 and adding will eliminate s

21f + 15s = 1752 → (3)

- 25f - 15s = - 1920 → (4)

Add (3) and (4) term by term to eliminate s , that is

- 4f = - 168 ( divide both sides by - 4 )

f = 42

Substitute f = 42 into either of the 2 equations and solve for s

Substituting into (1)

7(42) + 5s = 584

294 + 5s = 584 ( subtract 294 from both sides )

5s = 290 ( divide both sides by 5 )

s = 58

The cost of a bag of flour is $42 and cost of sugar is $58

Answer:

The coordinates of J are missing.  Plus, I don't see options for the conclusions.  I made an imaginary point J, which you could correct to form the proper triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attachment.  Plot all the vertices, including a corrected point J and draw the resulting triangle.  It might be that AJKL is a slightly smaller, shifted version of AGHI.  Enter the correct coordinates and then compare.
