Answer:

x=4

Step-by-step explanation:

6 - 6x = 5x – 9x - 2

6+2=5x-9x+6x

8=2x

4=x

What you need to do to be able to solve this is move all of the terms that have no variable and the ones that have the same variable to the other side. Once you have that, you should be able to do 6+2 and solve the side that has variables as if it has no variables. Remember that you have to flip the sign when you are moving all of the numbers. Then when you get to the step where both sides have only one number, that is when you would divide the other number, which in this case is 8, by 2, which is the number correlated with x. And that should get x by itself, and give you the solution.

6 - 6x = 5x - 9x - 2
6 + 2 = 5x - 9x + 6x
8 = 5x - 3x
8 = 2x
x = 8/2
x = 4

Quadrilateral ABCD is inscribed in this circle.
Alecsey [184]
The sum of all interior angles in a polygon is

180(n-2), where n = sides, well, this is a QUADrilateral, so it has 4 sides, so the total is 360°.

now, let's find what angle C is first,

\bf \stackrel{A}{(2x-40)}+\stackrel{B}{(116)}+C+\stackrel{D}{(x)}=360\implies C+3x+76=360
\\\\\\
C+3x=284\implies C=284-3x

now, recall the "inscribed quadrilateral conjecture", where opposite angles are "supplementary angles", thus

\bf \stackrel{\measuredangle A}{(2x-40)}+\stackrel{\measuredangle C}{(284-3x)}=180\implies -x+244=180
\\\\\\
64=x\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
\measuredangle A=2(64)-40

Find the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z=−2.94 and to the right of z=−2.28. Round your answer to four deci
Radda [10]

Answer:

The area under the standard normal curve to the left of z=−2.94 and to the right of z=−2.28 is 0.9903 square units.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z=−2.94 and to the right of z=−2.28.

The standard normal table represents the area under the curve.

P(z-2.28)=P(z-2.28)          .....(1)

According to the standard normal table, we get

P(z

P(z>-2.28)=1-P(z

Substitute these values in equation (1).

P(z-2.28)=0.0016+0.98807=0.9903

Therefore the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z=−2.94 and to the right of z=−2.28 is 0.9903 square units.

The sum of 4 consecutive intergers is 50, what is the first interger in this relationship
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

x = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Consecutive means in a row

Let x be the first integer

x+1 is the second

x+2 is the third

x+3 is the 4th

The sum is 50

x+ x+1 + x+2 + x+3 = 50

Combine like terms

4x+6 = 50

Subtract 6 from each side

4x+6-6 = 50-6

4x = 44

Divide each side by 4

4x/4 = 44/4

x = 11
