Explain what pillow lava is. How does its presence in the central valley of mid-ocean ridges support the idea of sea-floor sprea
kkurt [141]
<span>Pillow lavas have pillow-like structures and are formations that push lava on the surface of the earth underwater. Magma comes out of ocean ridges as pillow lava and forms a new oceanic crust, supporting sea floor spreading. The older crust gets pushed away from the ridge and pushes on to the continents, making them drift.</span>

Lera25 [3.4K]

There are four major components found in wood, and these are:

cellulose

Why are fossils found mainly in sedimentary rock? choose all that apply
jeka94

<em>"Sedimentary rocks are formed by the pressure over millions of years of organic material, inorganic material, sediment of course , and earth piling up over itself. Metamorphic rock and igneous rock originate either below the surface where plants lived and creatures roamed, or the heat from volcanic activity transformed everything. Sedimentary rock formation is the only geologic activity that permits and allows organic material preservation and hence fossil formation." </em>- <u>Charles Snider, Co-Founder of American Geode (on Quora.com)</u>

How many atoms are there in 7.6 moles of Iron?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

45.77 × 10²³ atoms

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of moles of iron = 7.6 mol

Number of atoms = ?

Solution:

Avogadro number:

The given problem will solve by using Avogadro number.

It is the number of atoms , ions and molecules in one gram atom of element, one gram molecules of compound and one gram ions of a substance.  The number 6.022 × 10²³ is called Avogadro number.

1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ atoms

7.6 mol  ×  6.022 × 10²³ atoms / 1 mol

45.77 × 10²³ atoms

in an oversight in the experiment jamie did not add the 4-5 additional drop of 6M JNO3. as result, will the reported number of m
kaheart [24]
The reported number of moles will be too low since the additional amount of oxygen is not included. It may be 6 drops but the molarity of the solution is 6M. this meas that for every ml of the JNO3 solution there is 6 moles of JNO3. In every mole of <span>JNO3 there are 3 moles of oxygen. So in every drop of oxygen there are 18 moles of oxygen. </span>
