Since both of the equations are equal to y...set them equal to each other.. So it will then be

x^2+3=x+5
      -3     -3
x^2=x+2    ---> x^2-x-2
                       (x-2) (x+1)
                        x=2,-1

3. PLEASE HELP! Jenna just opened a checking account at the bank. Within the first month, she deposited three checks for $34.98,
sashaice [31]

Answer:C) She would have $216.88.

Step-by-step explanation:

A) Deposits:  +34.98; +51.02; +51.22

Withdrawals:  -5.23; -5.22; -7.89

B) -7.89, -5.23, -5.22, +34.98, +51.02, +51.22

The smallest amount will be the largest withdrawal, as it takes away from the account; the largest amount will be the largest deposit, as it adds to the account.

98 + 34.98 = 132.98 + 51.02 = 184.00 + 51.22 = 235.22 - 7.89 = 227.33 - 5.23 = 222.10 - 5.22 = 216.88

An easy way to test this is with the equation A^{2}+B ^{2}=C ^{2} this means that if you add 4.8²+6.4² does it equal 8²? if so then it is a right triangle. This is called the Pythagorean theorem. So the answer is, yes it is a right triangle.

Which operation should be done first in the expression below? 13 − 2 • 16 + 2
Marizza181 [45]

Answer:

Multiply (2 * 16)

Step-by-step explanation:

Our expression is 13 - 2 * 16 + 2. The two operations used here are addition (+) and multiplication (*).

Remember order of operations PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction.

We see that multiplication comes before addition, so we multiply 2 by 16 first:

13 - 2 * 16 + 2

13 - 32 + 2

Thus, the answer is multiply.
