Answer

Find out the  what is the coyote population in 2006 .

To prove

As given

A research study in the year 2000 found that there were 440 coyotes in a given region.

The coyote population is expected to grow at a rate of 17% each year.

Thus the increasing exponential function is denoted by.

y = a(1 +\ r)^{t}

Where a is the intial population .

            r is in the decimal form.

             t is the time.

Here

a = 440

r = \frac{17}{100}

r = 0.17

t = 6 years (From 2000 to 2006)

Put all the values in the formula

y = 440\times(1 + 0.17)^{6}

y = 440\times (1.17)^{6}

y = 440 × 2.56516

y = 1128.67

Thus

y = 1129 (Rounded to nearest whole number)

Therefore the  coyote population in 2006 is 1129.

What is the equation of the line which has a gradient of 2 and passes through the point (1,4)
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

Y= 2x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

line equation is y=mx +c

m is the gradient = 2

We are given an x and y value

X= 1
y= 4

substitute that into the equation:

4= 2(1) +c

2=c

Put all the equation together:

Y= 2x+2

Answer: B) 24

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the cabbage percent by adding all of the percentages it gives you together and subtracting from 100.

the cabbage percent is 15%.

So 15% of the garden is cabbages, the garden is 160 sq ft.

Turn into the percentage into a decimal. 15% = .15

Multiply 160x.15

Solve 4x − 9 = 15.<br><br> 1) 1 1/2 <br> 2) 8<br> 3) 24<br> 4) 6
stira [4]

Hey there!

4x - 9 = 15

ADD 9 to BOTH SIDES

4x - 9 + 9 = 15 + 9

CANCEL out: -9 + 9 because it gives you 0

KEEP: 15 + 9 because it help solve for the x-value.

NEW EQUATION: 4x = 15 + 9

SIMPLIFY IT!

4x = 24

DIVIDE 4 to BOTH SIDES

4x/4 = 24/4

CANCEL out: 4/4 because it gives you 1

KEEP: 24/4 because it gives you the answer of the x-value

NEW EQUATION: x = 24/4

SIMPLIFY IT!

x = 6

Therefore, your answer is: x = 6 (Option D.)

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Angle α is drawn on the unit circle in standard position. The terminal side of angle α intersects the unit circle at point (-0.2
Marina CMI [18]

Using the unit circle, it is found that the approximate decimal value of tan(α) is given by -3.274.

<h3>What is the unit circle?</h3>

For an angle \alpha the unit circle is a circle with radius 1 containing the following set of points: (\cos{\alpha}, \sin{\alpha}).

In this problem, we have point (-0.292, 0.956), hence \cos{\alpha} = -0.292, \sin{\alpha} = 0.956.

Applying the definition of the tangent, we have that:

\tan{\alpha} = \frac{\sin{\alpha}}{\cos{\alpha}} = \frac{0.956}{-0.292} = -3.274.

Hence the second option is correct.
