A candidate for mayor in a small town has allocated $40,000 for last-minute advertising in the days preceding the election. Two

types of ads will be used: radio and television. Each radio ad costs $200 and reaches an estimated 3,000 people. Each television ad costs $500 and reaches an estimated 7,000 people. In planning the advertising campaign, the campaign manager would like to reach as many people as possible, but she has stipulated that at least 10 ads of each type must be used. Also, the number of radio ads must be at least as great as the number of television ads. How many ads of each type should be used? How many people will this reach?

what is the surface area of a rectangular prism that has a height of 5cm a width of 10cm and a depth of 4cm
Kamila [148]

2(5*10)+2(10*4)+2(5*4)=

2(50)+2(40)+2(20)=100+80+40=

220 cm^2

I found the answer by finding the areas of the 3 different sides, multiplying each area by 2 since each side has another side that is equal on a rectangular prism, then adding all of them together.

On planet Zorg, a 30 kg barbell can be lifted by only exerting a force of 180N. What is the acceleration of gravity on Planet Zo
WITCHER [35]
To calculate g, we use the formula F= mg. F is given as 180N, and m is given as 30 kg, therefore:
180N = (30kg)(g)
g = 6 m.s-1.
The motion of this object would be decreased on Earth as more force would be required to lift it. If we assume g is 9.8 m.s-1 on Earth, we can calculate the force required.
F = mg
   = (30kg)(9.8 m.s-1)
   = 294 N

How do i solve this because I need some help. I'm studying for my test.

At Gino's you pay $16 plus $8 per pizza.
At Venetian's you pay $24 plus $6 per pizza.
Let the number of pizzas be x.

At Gino's you pay 16 + 8x
At Venetian's you pay 24 + 6x

Set the two costs equal and solve for x to find out the number of pizzas for which both costs are the same.

16 + 8x = 24 + 6x
16 + 2x = 24
2x = 8
x = 4
Each place gives you a free pizza.
4 pizzas plus the free pizza equals 5 pizzas.

If you need 5 pizzas (including the free one), both parlors cost the same.

If you need fewer than 5 pizzas, use Gino's.
If you need more than 5 pizzas, use Venetian's.
