Answer:

A carboxylate salt and water

Explanation:

A carboxylic acid is an organic compound that has general formula RCOOH, where R is a carbon chain. Because it's an acid, the neutralization will happen when it reacts with a base, such as NaOH.

When this reaction occurs, the base will dissociate in Na⁺ and OH⁻, and the acid will ionize in RCOO⁻ and H⁺, so the products will be RCOO⁻Na⁺ (a carboxylate salt) and H₂O (water).

Complete the chemical reaction that occurs when dimethylamine (ch3)2nh reacts with water.
grandymaker [24]
Dimethyl amine is Base. The basic character of it is due to the presence of lone pair of electron on nitrogen atom. The strength of amines is basically due to the presence of alkyl group attached to nitrogen atom. These alkyl groups donates electron to nitrogen atom hence increasing electron density on nitrogen and increasing its basic character.

When dimethylamine ( Kb = 5.9 × 10⁻⁴) is reacted with water it abstracts proton from water molecule convertion it into Hydroxide Ion (i.e ⁻OH). The reaction is as follow,

                          (CH₃)₂N  +  H₂O   →   (CH₃)₂N⁺H   +   ⁻OH

The reaction of Pb+4 and O-2 produces the compound of
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Pb₂O₄

Explanation:

The given species are:

        Pb⁴⁺               O²⁻

Now, to solve this problem, we use the combining powers which corresponds to the number of electrons usually lost or gained or shared by atoms during the course of a chemical combination.

                                          Pb⁴⁺               O²⁻

Combining power               4                    2

Exchange of valencies        2                    4

Now the molecular formula is  Pb₂O₄
