Let x be the number of members that Jessica will still have to convince to be part of the sewing club. The inequality that would best represent the given in this item is,
                                   5 + x ≥ 30
Solving the inequality,
                                      x ≥ 25

This means that to be able to able for school sponsorship she must have an additional of at least 25 members.

Find the area of a regular decagon with a perimeter of 60 ft.
Naddik [55]

Answer:

Area of a regular decagon with a perimeter of 60 ft. = 277 squared ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Decagon has 10 sides    So 60/10 = 6 (each side = 6ft )

The sum of the  interior angles of a decagon  is 1 440 degrees.

There are  10 equal isosceles triangles of base angles 72 degrees  in a decagon

Each isosceles triangle can subdivided into 2 right-angled triangles with height h and base length = (6/2) = 3 cm and base angle 72 degrees.

Height of right-angled triangle h = 3 tan 72 ft.

Area of 1 right-angled triangle = (1/2)(3)(3 tan 72) = 13.85 squared ft

Area of decagon = 20 right-angled triangles = 277 squared ft

Answer:

  (x, y) ⇒ (x -5, y +3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Pick a point on the original polygon. The extreme left point (at (1, 0)) will do.

Locate the corresponding image point on ABCDE. (It is point B(-4, 3).) Using coordinates, or counting grid squares, determine what must be added to the original point to get the image point.

Here, that addition is 5 squares left and 3 squares up:

  image - original = (-4, 3) -(1, 0) = (-5, 0)

So, the transformation rule adds -5 to each x-coordinate and 3 to each y-coordinate:

   (x, y) ⇒ (x -5, y +3)
