Let x be the number of members that Jessica will still have to convince to be part of the sewing club. The inequality that would best represent the given in this item is,
                                   5 + x ≥ 30
Solving the inequality,
                                      x ≥ 25

This means that to be able to able for school sponsorship she must have an additional of at least 25 members.

Find the equation of the circle with center at the origin that contains the point (-8,6)
Katena32 [7]
The center is at origin O(0,0).
If it contains the point, P(-8,6), then the radius r is, by Pythagoras theorem,
r=sqrt((-8)^2+6^2)=10

The general equation of a circle at centre (xc,yc) with radius r is given by
(x-xc)^2+(y-yc)^2=r^2

Substituting r=10, (xc,yc)=(0,0)
the resulting equation is therefore

(x-0)^2+(y-0)^2=10^2
or simply
x^2+y^2=100

Which of the following are solutions to the equation below?
34kurt

Answer:

B. 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Rearrange the equation so that is in the form (ax² + bx + c = 0).

6x² - 3x + 36 = 5x² + 10x

x² - 3x + 36 = 10x

x² - 13x + 36 = 0

Now, factor the equation and solve for x.

x² - 13x + 36 = 0

(x - 4)(x - 9) = 0

x - 4 = 0

x = 4

x - 9 = 0

x = 9

The solutions to the equation are 4 and 9.  The correct answer choice is B.
