Bloomington Brewery produces beer and ale. Beer sells for $5 per barrel, and ale sells for $2 per barrel. Producing a barrel of

beer requires 5 lb of corn and 2 lb of hops. Producing a barrel of ale requires 2 lb of corn and 1 lb of hops. 60 lb of corn and 25 lb of hops are available. Formulate an LP that can be used to maximize revenue. Solve the LP graphically.

Answer:

The answer is below

Explanation:

Let x represent the amount of beer sold and y represent the amount of ale sold. The revenue of selling x barrels of beer is 5x and selling y barrels of ale is 2y hence the total revenue = 5x + 2y. If z represent the maximum revenue then:

z = 5x + 2y

Since 60 lb of corn is available and beer requires 5 lb of corn while ale require 2 lb of corn hence:

5x + 2y ≤ 60

Also, 25 lb of hops is available and beer requires 2 lb of hops while ale require 1 lb of hops hence:

2x + y ≤ 25

Also x > 0 and y > 0

The LP is:

z = 5x + 2y

5x + 2y ≤ 60

2x + y ≤ 25

x > 0 and y > 0

Using geogebra graphing, the maximum revenue is at (0, 30)

Hence:

z = 5x + 2y = 5(0) + 2(30) = 60

The maximum revenue is 60

How should a person cope with situational factor for which there are ethical confident skills?
ipn [44]

Self-confidence is considered one of the most influential motivators and regulators of behavior in people's everyday lives (Bandura, 1986). A growing body of evidence suggests that one's perception of ability or self-confidence is the central mediating construct of achievement strivings (e.g., Bandura, 1977; Ericsson et al., 1993; Harter, 1978; Kuhl, 1992; Nicholls, 1984). Ericsson and his colleagues have taken the position that the major influence in the acquisition of expert performance is the confidence and motivation to persist in deliberate practice for a minimum of 10 years.

Self-confidence is not a motivational perspective by itself. It is a judgment about capabilities for accomplishment of some goal, and, therefore, must be considered within a broader conceptualization of motivation that provides the goal context. Kanfer (1990a) provides an example of one cognitively based framework of motivation for such a discussion. She suggests that motivation is composed of two components: goal choice and self-regulation. Self-regulation, in turn, consists of three related sets of activities: self-monitoring, self-evaluation, and self-reactions. Self-monitoring provides information about current performance, which is then evaluated by comparing that performance with one's goal. The comparison between performance and goal results in two distinct types of self-reactions: self-satisfaction or -dissatisfaction and self-confidence expectations. Satisfaction or dissatisfaction is an affective response to past actions; self-confidence expectations are judgments about one's future capabilities to attain one's goal. This framework allows a discussion of self-confidence as it relates to a number of motivational processes, including setting goals and causal attributions.

Business process management applies only to commercial, profit-making organizations.
GalinKa [24]

False. Business process management applies to commercial, nonprofit, for-profit, and government entities.

Discovering, modeling, analyzing, measuring, improving, and optimizing business processes are all aspects of business process management. Businesses have processes in place to ensure that their strategies are effectively implemented throughout all levels of the organization. Structured and repeatable processes are one type, while unstructured and unpredictable ones are another.

Since the roles, regulations, strategies, and objectives of businesses and other entities it embraces are always evolving, business process management is an expansive field that is also inherently dynamic. Several optimization approaches, including as Six Sigma, lean management, and Agile, have found a home in business process management over the years.

Some firms' business processes have grown too huge and complex to be handled without the help of automated tools, therefore vendors of business process management software have stepped in to facilitate widespread organizational transformation. Progress in artificial intelligence (AI) has in turn fueled the development of new Business process management tools that make it easier to find, create, measure, enhance, and automate processes. business process management, which has traditionally focused on back-end procedures, has expanded to also encompass the optimization of customer and employee interaction systems in response to the advent of digital business.

In Oligopoly markets, a limited number of suppliers control the market. They are present in every nation and a wide variety of industries. While some oligopoly markets are much more competitive than others, others can at least appear to be so. Investigations into allegations of coordinated behaviour or a lack of fierce competition are frequently requested from competition authorities.
