Answer:

The founding fathers of the United States did a very good job in shaping the laws of the country, this can be seen in the fact that the U.S. Constitution is the oldest constitution still in place.

The founding fathers shaped the constitution inspired from the ideas of liberal philosophers like John Locke, Montesquieu, and Edmund Burke. They defended the idea of a federal republic, in which several states voluntarilly joined in a republican form of government with separation of powers.

The constitution did have some flaws though, for example, the issue of slavery was not properly established, and this led to the American Civil War decades later.

Besides, twenty seven admendments have been added to the original document in order to meet the national demands of a changing world.

In conclusion, while not a perfect document, the founding fathers did a very good job at writing the constitution.

Zarrin [17]

Answer:

The productivity in sales revenue/labor expense: 3.49

Explanation:

Total sales (revenue) = Sale price per unit x Units sold = $1,710 x 1,231 = $2,105,010

Total labor expense = Total labor hours x Wage rate = 46,453 x $13 = $603,889

The productivity in sales revenue/labor expense is calculated by ussing following formula:

The productivity in sales revenue/labor expense = Total sales/Total labor expense = $2,105,010/$603,889 = 3.49

That means for every dollar lmaster puts into labor, the company potentially makes $3.49 in sales revenue

a. If Canace Company, with a break-even point at $960,000 of sales, has actual sales of $1,200,000, what is the margin of safety
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

(A)

240,000 margin of safety in dollars

20% as percent of sales

(B)

actual sales= 11,250,000

Explanation:

current \:sales - BEP_{USD} = margin \: of \: safety

1,200,000 - 960,000 = 240,000 margin of safety in dollars

\frac{current \:sales - BEP_{USD}}{current \:sales} \times 100 = margin \: of \: safety

\frac{1,200,000 - 960,000}{1,200,000} \times 100 = margin \: of \: safety

240,000/1,200,000 = 0.2 x 100 = 20%

For B we will determinate the BEP in dollars and then add the 20% margin of safety.

\frac{Fixed\:Cost}{Contribution \:Margin \:Ratio} = Break\: Even\: Point_{dollars}

\frac{1,875,000}{0.2} = Break\: Even\: Point_{dollars}

BEP = 9,375,000

BEP x ( 1+margin of safety) = actual sales

BEP x (1 + 20%) = 11,250,000
