Answer:

The volume remaining is approximately  536 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a hemisphere is the volume of the sphere divided by two, therefore it's formula is:

\text{volume hemisphere} = \frac{4}{6}*pi*r^3\\\text{volume hemisphere} = \frac{4}{6}*pi*8^3 = 1072.33 \text{ } cm^3

While the volume of the cone is:

\text{volume cone} = \frac{\pi*r^2*h}{3}\\\text{volume cone} = \frac{\pi*(8)^2*8}{3}\\\text{volume cone} = \frac{\pi*512}{3} = 536.1651 \text{ } cm^3

What remains on the hemisphere is the difference between these volumes, therefore:

\text{remaining volume} = 1072.33 - 536.17 = 536.16 \text{ } cm^3

The volume remaining is approximately  536 cm³

Answer:

AREA =18

Step-by-step explanation

think of a rectangle, 12 by 3 which is also 12*3

so you do 12*3=36

but since it is a triangle you have to divide it by 2

36/2=18

Need help on all these questions!!
Yuki888 [10]

Okay, so YZ = 3 cm.  You have XM correct. And YM = 0.5.

Now, you have the midpoint M at the correct spot.

Use Pythagorean's theorem o find the length of AB.  a² + b² = c²   a=6,  b=8.

6² = 36   8² = 64    36 + 64 = 100      AB = 10!

If AB = 10   then AM = 5    MB also = 5

If B is the midpoint of AC,  C would be 12 rows down from A, and 16 columns to the right. The last spot where the line intersects.

There are your answers!
