Of the tulips 2/3 are yellow.

= 2/3 of the 3/4 of all the flowers

= (2/3) * (3/4)

= 1/2  of all the flowers are yellow tulips.

So if yosh has a garden with 3/4 of the flowers are tulips and 2/3 are yellow if you subtract 3/4 from 2/3 then you will get the answer that you are looking for. Which is 1/12.
